SHM Team Grading
Please note that every season we grade our Years 4, 5 and 6 teams. The Grading coordinators are outsourced and are highly skilled netball players. The girls will need to attend all grading sessions on:
Sunday 24th indoors at the Marie Bashir Centre, Cross St, Mosman.
Year 4 10:00am – 11:00am
Year 5 11:00am – 12:00pm

We appreciate that weekends are busy with family commitments and your daughter may only be available for one or two session. Please note our Co-ordinators can only grade the girls based on the session/s they attend.
Year 4 NSNA Grading Day
Once our players have been graded within our netball club, the teams will play in a Northern Suburbs Association (NSNA) grading event at the Willoughby Netball Courts on Friday 15th March 2019 from 4.30pm to approx 6.30pm. Updates will follow closer to the date.
Anne Sargeant Clinic
A Netball Clinic for Years 4, 5 and 6 will be held on Wednesday 13th March 2019 from 12.45 – 2.45pm at the Marie Bashir Centre.
Registration and payment for the clinic will automatically be part of the registration process for Years 4, 5 and 6 players. The girls will be transported to the event by bus however parents will need to organise collection of their child from the Marie Bashir Centre at 2.30pm.
“Coach the Coach” Program
We are very fortunate to have our Coach Jacqui Donohoe continuing our Coaching Program for the 2019 season. The aim of employing a qualified Coach is to assist our parent volunteer coaches. Jacqui will work in partnership with our volunteer parent coaches and provide guidance, drills, training plans and support. Most importantly, through this partnership, our aim is to develop the netball skills of our girls in a positive environment. We are also currently investigating the following two options :
· An assistant coach for Jacqui at training
· Our professional coaches assisting at the girl’s games.
It is still important that we have our volunteer parent coaches at the training sessions to work with our coach at training to ensure their developing skills flow through into their games. The Sports club and your children rely on parent volunteers to help make the Netball season both fun and well organised.
Teams train after school on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. Training times are as follows:
Year 2 – Wednesdays - 3pm to 4pm
Year 3 – Thursdays – 3pm to 4pm
Year 4 – Tuesdays – 3pm to 4pm
Year 5 – Tuesdays – 4pm to 5pm
Year 6 – Wednesday – 4pm to 5pm
Netball is a team sport and all girls must attend training if they would like to play.
Coaches and Managers
Each team needs a coach and a manager. If you would like to volunteer to help, please let us know. Each Coach must have a Working with Children certificate. We will be holding a Coaching Information session for all parents interested in Coaching on Tuesday 19th February at 7pm in the School Hall.
We don’t include uniforms in the cost of our registration fee. There will be an opportunity in mid-February and early March to purchase new or second hand uniforms and we will update the website in due course. The new dress and matching shorts are $70.
